Planning Commission & Building Inspection

The Rio Dell Planning Commission is an advisory agency appointed by the City Council that makes recommendations relating to the sound and orderly growth and development of the City. The Planning Commission is the approving authority for subdivisions, lot mergers and lot line adjustments, use permits, and variances.

The City of Rio Dell contracts with Planwest Partners to provide long-range planning services, review planning applications, and provide recommendations to the staff, the Planning Commission, and City Council. Planning applications are available on this web page as well as from the City Clerk. If you have planning related questions, please contact the City Clerk at 764-3532. Completed Planning applications accompanied by the appropriate fee should be submitted to the City Clerk.

Building Inspection

The City of Rio Dell contracts with Arne Kemp of Kemp Inspection Services for Building Inspection services including plan check and building inspection. Building Permit applications are available on this web page as well as from the City Clerk. If you have building permit related questions, please contact the City Clerk at 764-3532. Completed building permit applications, accompanied by the appropriate fee, should be submitted to the City Clerk.
